You can surely delete messages that you have sent, but did you know that Telegram has brought a new feature that lets you delete messages sent by other users too. Thatโs kind of weird, but this feature is for users who prioritize privacy over everything. To use this feature, just select the received message and tap on the โdeleteโ button. Now, select โAlso delete for Xโ and tap on โDeleteโ. The message will disappear from both ends without leaving any trace. To do this, long-press on a picture you have sent. Choose the โEditโ button on the top, just like youโd edit a text message once you have sent it. Now, you will get an in-built photo editor where you can add filters, draw or crop images. Alternatively, you can even replace the picture and send another one in its place. @ImageBot โ sends pictures related to your keywords.
Delete Senderโs Message Sharing your location lets others keep an eye on your progress to a destination or help look out for your safety. In Telegram, open a chat, tap the paper clip button, and choose Location to share it. Send uncompressed file Better Bots
One of the nagging issues I have with WhatsApp is its extremely limited text editing features. For example, if someone sends a message, you canโt select a part of text from the message. You will have to copy the whole message and then edit it out in the small text field which frankly is very annoying. However, Telegram has brought a great way to select and copy a part of a message. Tap and hold on a message to select it first and then again tap and hold to select your part of the message. Thatโs ingenious, right? To adjust the theme, go to Settings > Chat Settings on Android, or Settings > Appearance on iOS. Here you can change the text size, bubble colors, night mode settings, and similar options. Choose Chat Background to set a new wallpaper for your groups. Lock Your Conversations If youโre using Telegram with the calls, secret chats feature, which provides end-to-end encryption for your messages, You can also be locking down the app itself with a passcode, PIN, or password automatically.
While you can send uncompressed media in other messaging apps, you have to convert it in another format like EXE or PDF. Telegram, however, allows you to send uncompressed video and images directly (without converting them into another format). It saves you a lot of trouble. Finally, if you don't want to disturb the other person, choose Send without sound to silently deliver the message to the other party without them getting a notification.
