The Wise Old Owl
In a dense forest, there lived a wise old owl named Oliver. Oliver was known throughout the forest for his wisdom and calm demeanor. Animals from all corners of the forest would come to seek his advice on various matters.
One day, a young rabbit named Ruby approached Oliver with a heavy heart. "Oliver," she began, "I am constantly worried about the future. I fear that something bad will happen, and I can't seem to enjoy the present."
Oliver listened patiently and then spoke in his gentle voice, "Ruby, let me tell you a story. Once, there was a farmer who had a beautiful apple tree. Every day, he would worry about the tree being struck by lightning, infested by pests, or withering away. His constant worry prevented him from enjoying the delicious apples the tree bore."
Ruby looked puzzled, "What happened to the farmer, Oliver?"
"The farmer eventually realized that his worries were robbing him of the joy of the present. He decided to focus on nurturing the tree and enjoying its fruits rather than worrying about what might happen. From that day on, he lived a much happier life," Oliver explained.
Ruby nodded thoughtfully. "So, you're saying I should focus on the present and not let my worries about the future ruin my happiness?"
"Exactly," Oliver replied with a smile. "Worrying about the future is like carrying a heavy burden that you don't need. Live in the moment, and you will find peace and happiness."
Ruby thanked Oliver and left with a lighter heart, determined to embrace the present and let go of her unnecessary worries.

▫️Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a rare genetic disorder that affects the spinal cord and causes muscle weakness and atrophy (wasting). It is caused by the loss of a gene called SMN1 (survival motor neuron 1), which is responsible for producing a protein needed for the survival of motor neurons.
