The Boy Who Cried " Wolf "
Once upon a time, in a quaint village, there was a shepherd boy who tended to his flock of sheep. The boy was known for his mischievous nature and loved to play pranks on the villagers.
One day, the boy decided to have some fun at the expense of the villagers. He ran down to the village, crying out, "Wolf! Wolf! A wolf is attacking the sheep!" The villagers, alarmed by the boy's cries, quickly rushed to the meadow to help him. When they arrived, they found no wolf, and the boy burst into laughter, enjoying his successful prank.
A few days later, the boy repeated the same trick. "Wolf! Wolf! A wolf is attacking the sheep!" he cried. Once again, the villagers hurried to his aid, only to discover that they had been fooled once more. The boy laughed even harder, finding amusement in their frustration.
However, one evening, as the sun was setting, a real wolf appeared in the meadow. The boy, terrified, cried out, "Wolf! Wolf! Please, help! The wolf is attacking the sheep!" But this time, the villagers, weary of the boy's deceit, paid no heed to his pleas. They thought it was just another prank.
The wolf attacked the flock, scattering the sheep in all directions. The boy watched helplessly as his sheep were lost. Filled with regret, he realized the consequences of his actions. His deception had cost him dearly.
